Seems to be a very small wait staff (1-2 people), but service was still pretty quick. The ordering process is essentially a “do-it-yourself” style where you write down the corresponding menu number of what you want on a white paper and hand it to the waitstaff. Not much to say about service as it is all pretty basic.
Hot tea is served on the table so you can help yourself throughout your meal. It is loose leaf and pretty standard, but I always enjoy cups of traditional tea with an Asian style meal!
I ended up ordering the Vermicelli noodles with stir fried Chinese broccoli and tofu. It was served on top of a salad and with a peanut sauce on the side to pour over. REALLY tasted good, particularly the sauce. And the salad added a great texture and freshness to the dish as well. At first I thought I wouldn’t be able to eat the whole bowl as the helping was generous, but the flavours were so good that I ended up finishing the dish! Very delicious and very much enjoyed.
Not really as they only have 2 items on a massive menu that seems to be fit for a vegetarian main meal. That being said, the vegetarian options are really flavourful and were much enjoyed. Definitely more of a meat lovers place than a veg-head.
This place is cheap and cheerful. Large portions and pretty inexpensive for Toronto dining. Key thing to remember is to bring cash, because that is all they take.
